Hotel Akbar Sonamarg is managed by the renowned Reshu Boktoo (RBS) Family, one of the true pioneers of travel and hospitality in Jammu and Kashmir. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, our property has a decades-long legacy of hosting international travelers, state dignitaries, and VIPs in Sonamarg, led by Haji Habib and his dedicated hospitality team.
Our architecture draws inspiration from local Kashmiri cedarwood craftsmanship, designed to stay warm, insulated, and inviting even during freezing winters.
