1. Booking & Identification Policy

By submitting a booking inquiry or confirming a reservation at Hotel Akbar Sonamarg, you agree to comply with all rules and terms outlined below.

  • Identification: Under government regulations, a valid government-issued photo ID (Passport, Aadhaar Card, or Driving License) is mandatory for every guest over the age of 18 at check-in.
  • Schedules: Standard check-in time is from 12:00 PM (Noon) onwards. Check-out time is before 11:00 AM. Late check-out requests are subject to availability and additional charges.

2. Occupancy & Right of Refusal

To maintain the safety and comfort of all guests:

  • Occupancy Limits: Maximum guest capacities per room category are strictly monitored and enforced.
  • Right of Refusal: The hotel management reserves the right to deny check-in if a booking is found in violation of hotel policies. No refunds are applicable under such circumstances.

3. Remote Mountain Location Advisory

While we strive to provide a seamless premium experience, Sonamarg is a remote mountain valley. Guests are advised to expect minor, temporary outages in power or elevator services during heavy weather, which are quickly addressed by our backup generator systems.

4. Force Majeure & Cancellation Policy

We do not offer refunds, modifications, or cancellations for booking disruptions resulting from force majeure events. These include but are not limited to: landslides, heavy snowfall, sudden roadblocks, VIP movement restrictions, local strikes, extreme weather anomalies, political crises, or flight/train cancellations preventing guests from arriving.

5. Liability Limit

The hotel's financial liability in any dispute, issue, or cancellation event is strictly capped at the booking deposit / convenience fee amount.
